Whoman – Morning Dew

Brussels-based indie trio Whoman share their enchanting new single “Morning Dew,” via Capitane Records.
The third single from their forthcoming debut album ‘About Honey’ (March 2026), the track captures the freshness of a mountain morning—a suspended moment where nature awakens and everything still seems possible.
Sung in dual vocals by Lou Wery and Mira De Schepper, “Morning Dew” extends the delicate, harmony-driven universe established on previous singles “Errance” and “Damp The View.” The track showcases Whoman’s unique ability to transform intimate emotional landscapes into soaring indie rock, drawing comparisons to Animal Collective, Big Thief, and Fleet Foxes, while asserting a singular and instantly recognizable identity.
Founded by Mira & Ambroos De Schepper (Bandler Ching, Mos Ensemble) and Lou Wery (Stace, Paradoxant), Whoman crafts songwriting that moves between independent rock, inventive pop, and dreamlike folk. Carried by dense vocal harmonies and subtle arrangements, their music explores the tension between urban existence and the longing for open landscapes.
With “Morning Dew,” Whoman explores a form of luminous intimacy: a celebration of connection, lightness, and the curious gaze we cast on the world when we rediscover it. Like a meditation, the track invites us to slow down, to settle, to pay attention to the smallest details that surround us—the light, the air, the vegetation, the voices.
This atmosphere is mirrored in the accompanying Super 8 film shot during the band’s summer tours in mountain refuges in the French Alps. For several summers now, Whoman has been performing reworked versions of their songs there, arranged for three voices and three guitars. Surrounded by friends and loved ones, the trio reconnects with what matters most: the warmth of community, the simplicity of shared moments, and the soothing impact of the mountains.
‘About Honey’: A debut album born from contrast, caught between city life and open landscapes. Written in a small Brussels apartment, the songs oscillate between fragility and energy, delicate melodies and assertive rhythms. The title symbolizes sweetness, desire, and love all at once—a metaphor for the tension between romantic ideals and reality, between inner drive and the pull of everyday life.
Following September’s “Errance”—a darker exploration of urban wandering and modern monsters—and “Damp The View”—a gentle meditation on time, memory, and the impossible desire to truly understand another person—”Morning Dew” reveals a more luminous side of the band’s sonic palette, maintaining their characteristic dense vocal harmonies while embracing wonder and presence.
Composed by Lou Wery and arranged collectively by the band, “Morning Dew” is accompanied by a striking choreographed video and at Ultima Vez Studios in Brussels, confirming Whoman as one of the most distinctive emerging acts in the Brussels music scene.
‘About Honey’ arrives spring 2026 via Capitane Records.
