Olivia Dean – Nice To Each Other

Olivia Dean by Aliyah Otchere

Today, Multi-BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominee, Olivia Dean emerges with her brand new single, ‘Nice To Each Other’ via Island Records. Following her recent release, ‘It Isn’t Perfect But It Might Be’, which served as the official lead single and end credits of the latest “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy” film, Olivia re-teamed with English Singer/Songwriter/Producer, Matt Hales, whom she collaborated with on her first album, as well as Writer/Producer Zach Nahome (Bakar, Pink Pantheress) to create another timeless offering to add to her impressive artistic catalogue.

Accompanied with an official video, directed by Jake Erland (Joy Crookes, Rachel Chinouriri, Beabadoobee), the one-take visual captures Olivia’s luscious performance as she meanders through an ever-evolving world that takes her lead and adjusts itself to her every move.

‘Nice To Each Other’ explores themes around the complexities of modern love. An uptempo number, Olivia’s new single is built around breezy guitar melodies and subtle harmonies underpinning her soulful vocal performance. “Nice To Each Other is a song about the push and pull of exploring your independence in dating” Olivia says, “It’s about enjoying someone in the present and allowing it to be both light and meaningful. I think this song and video represents a playfulness in me that I’m excited for people to see.”

This summer, Olivia will embark on her sold out Across The Atlantic US & Canada headline tour, kicking off on July 12 in Atlanta and hitting major cities including Brooklyn, Toronto, and more before wrapping in Los Angeles for a special show at The Fonda. The tour comes before Olivia will perform at Austin City Limits later this year and also open on Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour in the fall. The upcoming US tour dates follow Olivia’s show stopping sets at Coachella and Lollapalooza from 2024.
