Diana Silvers – From Another Room

Today, singer, songwriter, and producer Diana Silvers makes a captivating entrance with the release of her stunning debut album, From Another Room, out today on Capitol Records.

A deeply personal work written, directed, and produced entirely by Silvers, the 11-track set offers a vulnerable and raw glimpse into the young artist’s inner psyche. Blending intimate folk-inspired storytelling with a relatable modern sensibility, From Another Room is a landmark debut that signals the arrival of a major new voice in Diana Silvers.
From Another Room is rich with real-life lyrical detail and plainspoken poetic reflection — an intimacy underscored by actual recordings, which are analog-feeling and full of the warm sounds of Diana in the studio crafting her songs. Apart from voice and guitar, Diana lends cello, vibraphone, synth, keys, drums, and percussion to the mix, giving her flowing songs a dynamism to match their emotional range.
One highlight from the project is standout record “Burning in the Sun,” a warmly wistful remembrance of lost love that blooms from a picked acoustic rhythm to a radiant swirl of layered guitars, humming organ, and lilting vocals.
On the meaning behind the record, Diana states “this song encapsulates the end of summer, which is like a metaphor for the end of a relationship. The image of a sunburn that turns to a tan, which then fades to nothing. Some thing I used to feel.”
