Ula – In My Eyes

It’s impossible to not be moved by the rising talent of Ula and her new single ‘In My Eyes’ via APOLLO Distribution.

There’s a juxtaposition between the comfortable and the uncomfortable that are roles played by more traditional and contemporary production choices the songwriter has chosen here. The fusing of sounds combine to leave the listener in a  stasis of contemplation.

The song was written in Vienna in under two hours. Speaking about how the song came to be, Ula explains “‘In My Eyes’ is a hopeful hold to a moment of (un)comfortable vulnerability. Coated in cascades of warm synthesizers and drizzled with delicate vocal samples, the track is sincere and bare-boned, striking with intimacy and quiet power.”

Drawing inspiration from artists like St. Vincent, Allie X, and Aurora, Ula fuses avant-garde flair with melodic pop and eerie undertones. Originally from Poland, she moved to the UK alone at 17 to study at The BRIT School. Since then, she has released original music from a young age and performed at nearly 70 venues across London.

Now an accomplished studio engineer, producer, and session musician, Ula is ready to share a fresh wave of original material.
