Dolly Doops – No Means No

Rising London-based queer femme artist Dolly Doops shares her powerful new single ‘No Means No’ via APOLLO Distribution, a bold pop song centred on consent and the realities women face every day.
While the message is serious, the song channels its urgency into an upbeat, high-energy sound – an anthem of strength, defiance and female empowerment.
Speaking about the single, Dolly Doops explains: “This is an important conversation that needs to be had. Consent. The only thing No can mean, no. I wrote this to sing at the top of my lungs with my female identifying fans. It’s a song for women, Women who are tired of having to walk home with keys in their knuckles, who are afraid to tell a man to leave them alone so they lie and say they have a boyfriend, who share their locations on their way home and text each other as soon as they’re ‘home safe’. It’s a punchy beat, we really had fun shaping the production, Adriano and I, it moves with the vulnerability of the subject but the lyrics, the lyrics are what matters.”
With ‘No Means No’, Dolly Doops continues to champion inclusion, self-ownership and unapologetic identity – core themes in her artistry. The track stands as both a rallying cry and a moment of solidarity, offering her audience a voice that speaks openly, loudly and without compromise.
As an artist who champions inclusion, self-expression and finding strength in your identity, Dolly Doops continues to build on this narrative with ‘No Means No’. The track delivers a message that stands up and speaks out, positioning her as a powerful advocate for women’s rights through her music.
