LOUD WOMEN – the UK-based intersectional feminist music collective and showcase festival – is making its Canadian debut this fall with LOUD WOMEN Fest Canada, happening October 18, 2025 at Propeller Arcade, Halifax.

With its thriving DIY scene and history of fierce, independent music, Halifax is the perfect home for the first-ever Canadian LOUD WOMEN Fest. This landmark event is made possible thanks to Heather Harris of Kilmore, with support from Music Nova Scotia and stunning poster artwork by Art of Pillow Fite.

The festival will feature a powerhouse all-Nova Scotian lineup of some of the province’s most exciting artists:

✨ Burry – indie-pop artist from Halifax who just wowed crowds at LOUD WOMEN Fest London with raw, radiant songs about queerness, mental health, and identity.

✨ Moira & Claire – sister folk-pop duo whose soaring harmonies and heartfelt songwriting have earned them multiple Music Nova Scotia, ECMA, and Canadian Folk Music Award nominations.

✨ Loviet – a 90s-tinged alt-pop/indie-rock powerhouse, praised for her “signature, shimmery hooks” (Notion), who has toured internationally and won Music Nova Scotia’s 2024 Rock Recording of the Year.

✨ Pillow Fite – queer indie duo blending raw intimacy with jangly, genre-bending guitars; their latest album Hard Feelings, Soft Promises cements them as one of Halifax’s most fearless acts.

✨ Sophie Noel – Dartmouth-based artist weaving indie folk, art rock, and 90s grunge into nostalgic, sunlit songs; described as “a more accessible Cate le Bon.”

✨ Angel Girl – queer punk quartet grinding out filthy, furious anthems of feminine rage; cathartic, loud, and impossible to ignore.
