Jesse Jo Stark with Lil Yachty – who knew

Multi-disciplinary artist Jesse Jo Stark unveils her latest creative project, written, directed and co-styled by the Chrome Hearts co-creative director & designer Stark herself.
Closing 2025 with a work that merges her two realms: fashion and music, into a single, instinctive dream-state. What began as a meditation on feminine myth becomes a collaboration between two artists exploring power, surrender, and untamed instinct. “Who Knew” is a cinematic expression of feminine duality, mythmaking, and fashion.
Stark explains, “‘Who Knew’ moves like a lucid dream, styled by instinct. The video unpacks how women are cast as symbols—danger, purity, fantasy, creature—and how men navigate those projections with their own mix of awe and surrender.”
Shaping the architecture of every frame, Stark designed many of the garments herself, intertwining her long-standing role at Chrome Hearts with her artistry as a songwriter and musician. Nature mirrors the emotional shifts of the characters; doves, insects, rabbits, and imagined creatures echo her ability to slip between softness and power, their textures moving like the clothing itself: wings like silk, shells like metal. Chrome Hearts motifs appear like a pulse throughout.
“Who Knew” is Stark’s welcomed return following her 2022 debut album DOOMED, co-produced with Jesse Rutherford (The Neighbourhood). “Who Knew” arrives drenched in everything that defines Stark’s creative universe: Chrome Hearts imagery running through the visuals like a heartbeat, sculptural silhouettes, and an unapologetically mythic lens on femininity.
