Molly Grace – Blush

Nashville’s resident rising pop star Molly Grace releases her highly-anticipated debut album, Blush.

The album comes with the sultry music video for “Lemme” and features previously-released tracks “Mad At Her Forever,” “Do Me (Feels So Good),” “Soprano,” “WYKYK,” and “Heaven Sent.”
Written over the last year between Nashville and Los Angeles, Blush captures the highs and lows of the human experience. “You could be embarrassed, you could be flirty, you could be hot and bothered — it encapsulates all those feelings,” Molly says of the album’s title and concept. The project’s bright aesthetic follows suit, drawing inspiration from the sparkle of showgirls and cabaret shows.
With production helmed by Keith Sorrells and Oscar Linnander of The Orphanage (Lizzo, Kelly Clarkson, Kehlani), and co-writing credits from songwriters Claire Ernst and Wrabel (Kesha, Teddy Swims, Madi Diaz), Blush was polished to achieve a high-gloss shine, ready for radio and the stage alike. A number of other writers and producers eagerly attached themselves to the project, including Julie Frost, SXSSY, MSquared, and GAIA, each lending a distinct layer to the LP.
Molly’s signature mix of humor and heart translates effortlessly into her songwriting, from the effervescent confidence of “Do Me (Feels So Good)” and contagious charm of “Mad at Her Forever” to the intimate vulnerability of closing track “Soft.” Over the course of the 12 songs, Molly easily oscillates from cheeky musings on budding romances to uplifting visions of resilience. Each offering on the album is bolstered by an undercurrent of optimism, whether it’s in the dust-off joie de vivre of “WYKYK” or gospel-toned “Heaven Sent.”
Ultimately, the project affirms that regardless of the darkness around us, love remains as omnipresent as the air we breathe, and her distinct viewpoint — brought to life with the trusted team of collaborators — is the work of a pop voice that’s here to stay. The LP is a shining mosaic of all things Molly: effortlessly infectious, self-assured, and brimming with personality and hope.
The album comes just in time for the Blush Tour that began with a sold-out show at Colours Hoxton in London. She will kick off the US dates with a performance at All Things Go in Washington D.C. this weekend, followed by a 29 date run across North America. The Blush tour will be in partnership with LIFEBEAT, a program of the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation that fights for social justice and human rights for those affected by HIV and AIDS.
