Jill Sobule – F*ck 7th Grade Original Cast Recording
Today, award-winning singer-songwriter Jill Sobule announced the cast recording of her New York Times Critic’s Pick, Drama Desk-nominated autobiographical musical F*ck 7th Grade, to be released on June 6. An adolescent queer romance cascading into a brief rise to pop stardom, the acclaimed musical is a memoir examining how we never really get out of middle school.
Jill is currently touring her one-woman show “Jill Sobule presents: Songs from F*ck 7th Grade & More” throughout 2025 & beyond, with dates continuing through the summer including supporting slots for The Fixx and The Mekons.
Also on June 6, coinciding with Pride Month and its 30th Anniversary, Rhino Records will re-release Sobule’s 1995 landmark self-titled album, Jill Sobule featuring the iconic hits “I Kissed A Girl”—the first openly gay-themed song ever to crack the Billboard Top 20—and the alt-rock anthem “Supermodel” featured in the film Clueless.
The reissue will be available on vinyl for the first time ever, in a special translucent red colorway.
