Wisp – Get Back To Me

Wisp by Sasha Komarova2

Today, Wisp expands upon her new high medieval fantasy, deeply dreamy universe with “Get back to me,” awash with a sunny melody that’s not yet been heard from Wisp, but replete with the pedal-heavy guitars and echoing, cathedral acoustics. It’s an almost holy mixture of raw emotion and precisely manipulated nu-metal.

“Get back to me” follows the lead single “Sword,” a brutally exquisite, icily-rendered depiction of internal maelstroms blown to epic proportions. Fraught with filigree, both tracks offer us a glimpse of what’s sure to be a momentous year in Wisp’s journey; Wisp has already played one weekend of Coachella, and is slated for Bonnaroo, Kilby Block Party, and will join System of a Down on their massive stadium tour, sharing stages with SOAD, Korn, Deftones, and Avenged Sevenfold. See all upcoming live dates below,

Of the single, Wisp says: “‘Get back to me’ represents the greed for chaos, even at the cost of yourself. It’s about staying in a place you know isn’t good for you, yet you’re in a seemingly unbreakable cycle of going back- which portrays desperation, recklessness and limerence.”
