Cobrah – Torn

Experimental pop provocateur Cobrah returns to open a new era with her electrifying new single “Torn.”
The track showcases Cobrah’s ethereal vocals layered over hypnotic production, beginning with a haunting vocal performance that draws listeners into a darkly cinematic soundscape before erupting into a visceral club crescendo. Speaking about the song Cobrah shares, “‘Torn’ is the interlude of a new beginning. It’s a captivating and seductive track that sweeps you in just to tear you apart. ‘Torn’ is the beauty in pain, and the opening of my inner self.”
Arriving just ahead of her Gag Ball Halloween shows—taking place this Friday, October 31st in New York and Saturday, November 1st in Los Angeles—“Torn” teases what’s next for Cobrah as she continues to expand her singular world. Cobrah will also be making her Coachella debut in 2026.
The new single follows a string of high-profile collaborations, including Cobrah’s feature on Ashnikko’s new single “WET” and her remix of Pabllo Vittar’s “MEXE,” both out now.
A multidisciplinary artist originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, Cobrah emerged from Stockholm’s underground fetish scene, channeling its energy into a bold and boundary-breaking pop vision. Her 2019 debut EP ICON introduced her subversive aesthetic and led to the launch of her label GAGBALL Records, while the breakout hit “IDFKA” earned a Swedish Grammis nomination for Music Video of the Year. 2021’s self-titled COBRAH EP—praised by NME as “a self-assured slab of sexy, celebratory wonky-pop”—and 2023’s SUCCUBUS EP, which won the Swedish Grammis for Electro/Dance of the Year, solidified Cobrah as one of Europe’s most forward-thinking pop artists. Her reimagined SUCCUBUS XXXTENDED featured Amanda Lepore, Ayesha Erotica, and VTSS, and her acclaimed Boiler Room set in London further underscored her reputation for immersive, high-concept performance. Most recently, her single “BRAND NEW BITCH” appeared in Yorgos Lanthimos’ 2024 film Kinds of Kindness and its official trailer.
Cobrah recently attended New York and Paris fashion week shows including Dilara Fındıkoğlu, Dion Lee and Matière Fécale and her music has been featured in campaigns for Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, Lancôme and Viktor & Rolf.
Known for her genre-defying artistry and one-of-a-kind live performances, Cobrah’s latest release hints at a new project on the horizon sure to cement her reputation as one of pop’s most fearless innovators.
