LEYA – I Remember Nothing

Today, LEYA surprise-release I Remember Nothing, a radical reconfiguration of their acclaimed 2024 EP I Forget Everything out now via NNA Tapes.

True to the duo’s ever-expanding collaborative universe, New York harpist Marilu Donovan and vocalist/violinist Adam Markiewicz invited six boundary-pushing peers to reinterpret the source material for a work that both honors and upends the original.
The EP includes the previously shared rework of “Corners” by New York dream-pop auteurs Chanel Beads, who cast the track into a gauzy new reverie, as well as the cavernous, blow-out reimagining of “Weaving” by cult noise-rock project YHWH Nailgun.
The release also features genre-blurring multi-instrumentalist more eaze, who dissolves “Eden of Haze” into glitch-ambient drift; playfully surreal DIY pop icon LUCY (Cooper B. Handy), who twists “Fake” into off-kilter synth-pop; Los Angeles harpist and ambient composer Nailah Hunter, who transforms “Baited” into a lush sonic refuge; and Montreal producer Priori, who flips “Mia” into late-night illbient club. Across the project, LEYA’s spectral harp-opera-violin core is refracted through these idiosyncratic lenses, stretching their sound into striking new horizons.
Alongside the EP, LEYA are also sharing an otherworldly cover of HTRK’s “Sunlight Feels Like Bee Stings,” from the Melbourne duo’s album Rhinestones.
The track appears on the newly released String of Hearts (Songs of HTRK), a full-length collection of HTRK covers and remixes, out today via Ghostly International.
On the heels of the releases, LEYA will headline the sold-out event church.exe in New York City, a special event presented by 3rd Space NYC at Christ & St. Stephen’s Church on Saturday, December 6. The event will feature live-coded visuals and support performances from Deer Park, Patch+ and newly announced special guest Colle.
Listen to I Remember Nothing and LEYA’s cover of HTRK’s “Sunlight Feels Like Bee Stings” and stay tuned for more from LEYA.
