Some notable woman acts include:

Catbite- Who says ska needs to have horns? Well, their new EP, Put em’ away, has plenty of them! Formed in 2018 from Philly, Pennsylvania. Catbite is influenced by the early two-tone rudy ska such as the Specials & the Selector. Lead singer Brittany Luna packs a punch with harmonic melodies and catchy lyrics to make the whole room skank and move. Signed to Bad Time Records, Brittany L, Tim Hilderbrand, Chris Pires, Ben Parry & Kayleigh Malloy formed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and didn’t think they’d see otherside. Since then, Catbite has put out 8 records, and teamed up with Laura Jane Grace at Supernova Ska Festival in 2024. Together they paid homage to the ska punk band ‘Operation Ivy.’ Following a safe distance apart, “let’s die in Denver,” with Catbite!

Bite me Bambi – Emerging from the Orange County, California streets ‘Bite Me Bambi,’ members include: Taehlena Chikami (Vocals, guitar) Mike Berault (keys), Ryan Brown (bass) & Dan Evans (drums). Their style is described as a welcome mat for anything different, anything out of the ordinary – that just wants to dance. Emerging from the CA streets in 2019 Bite Me Bambi, “is burning hot lava, melting to the floor,” keeping the crowd’s energy up and moving.Pop Punk energy with plenty of horns and the two-tone beats for ska. Friday, July 18, is for the ska lovers, we’ll see the pit dusty and lots of movement for the openers. One of the highlights of the Denver ska & punk scenes, we show up for everyone.

We Are The Union – Straight out of Los Angeles California, ‘We Are The Union’ has had many member changes, still remaining with the original two, Reade Wolcott vocalist / guitarist & Brandon Benson bassist. Wolcott came out as trans in April of 2021, ““I remember feeling terrified, beyond my ability to reason,” she says, “the biggest thing for me was the fear for my ability to live the life I want to.” She told ‘Spin Magazine in 2021. Another notable change was back in 2015 with the return of a hiatus with new trombone member Jer Hunter of the Youtube Channel ‘Skatune Network.’ Some of us remember his staggering performance with The Sucide Machines at Supernova Ska Festival, back in 2023. If they have one life, they’re going to do what they want!

The Bombpops – Out of San Diego CA The Bombpops have had a wild run since their debut album release in Like I Care, 2010. Since then the band has had 6 different bassist changes, and front woman Poli van Dam’s announced departure from the band in August of 2021. Signed to Fat Wreck Chords, the band gained huge amounts of popularity sharing a bill with names like NOFX, Descendents & Bad Religion. Said on an instagram post, Dam’s departure was due to family & health issues. Current members Jen Razavi, Josh Lewis, & Remington Pascone still pack the energy with every song.

Then I Fly – Originally from Ohio, ‘Then I Fly,” has since moved to Denver. This ska/punk/reggae band features trumpet sounds from Anastasia Rose, vocals from Cody M. Smith, drums Garrett Shaffner, and bass Christian Jaramarshmello. What starts out as a fun ska song “Never Be Found,” quickly speeds up tempo with a bass rift punk energy. One can still bob and bounce, but when the chores hit, you better be ready to PICK IT UP!

Cheap Perfume – Feminist punk band Cheap Perfume, a safety pin in the Denver punk scene since 2015.They’ve joined Punk in Drublic in 2022, the Underground Music Showcase & and many more.. Front woman Stephanie Bryne tears up the stage and the pit (without pants) or shoes. Power chords and quick lyrics, their catchy fast, blink once you’ll miss em’. Their most recent show was with ‘The Dead Pioneers’ album release with local Colorado band ‘Spells,’ at the Bluebird theater. Their music explores sex, relationships, gender roles, society standards and politics. Bryne’s aggressive and fast stage performance is complemented by Jane’s melodies and backup vocals. Every performance packs a punch, it’s not one to miss!

Cleaner – Hard to find stuff on them, Cleaner Band from Denver opened up for Amyl & the Sniffers back in October of 2022 at the Ogden theater and have been turning heads ever since. The unplugged raw emotion of the front singer cannot be matched. Talk-poetry lyrics and powerstances are enough to keep everyone begging for more.

Slaughterhouse – Its angry, its punk, its in Denver. Slaughterhouse band from Los Angeles CA in late 2017 has been shredding the stage since their start. Their punk / hardcore sound will piss you off just as much as our political climate. They’ve shared the bill with huge names like Social Distortion, Adolescents & The Dead Kennedys. Meriel O’Connell’s eccentric vocals matched with Eddie Cairns’ quick bass riffs gives the listener the energy they’ve been asking for.
