evvvie – Sweet Dreams

evvvie is the musical project of Toronto-based tour photographer-turned-artist Evie Maynes. With a sound that blends dreamy, nostalgic melodies and modern indie pop, evvvie writes songs that capture the uncertainty, heartbreak, and wide-eyed hope that come with being a late bloomer in your twenties.  Her latest single, “Sweet Dreams,” dives straight into the chaos of dating in a digital world—where longing collides with instant gratification and love rarely feels simple.

Drawing on influences like Alice Phoebe Lou, Julia Jacklin, and Blondshell, evvvie moves between moments of tenderness and grit. Laced with strings from Luna Li, the track pairs yearning melodies with unflinching honesty, creating a soundtrack for anyone trying to make sense of modern romance.

“Sweet Dreams” follows the breakout success of “Hard To Get,” an autobiographical track that earned spots on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada (#2) and Amazon’s Breakthrough Indie playlists.

Her debut single, “Better Than Mine,” turned heads internationally with coverage from RANGE Magazine, She Makes Music, and The Partae, and came with a self-directed video featuring Jacob Tsafatinos (lead guitarist of Good Kid).

With her debut EP arriving November 2025, evvvie is steadily carving out her space as one of indie pop’s most exciting emerging voices—unapologetically candid, emotionally sharp, and endlessly relatable.
