Alessi Rose – Everything Anything

Today, breakout star Alessi Rose releases “Everything Anything,” an irresistible sing-along that splits the difference between whip-smart self-deprecation and astonished derision for a cowardly ex.
The deceptively easy-grooving alt-pop confection is the third single from the self-made singer, songwriter, and producer’s highly anticipated new EP, Voyeur, due out via Capitol Records on July 25.

The new single follows Alessi’s breakout Glastonbury debut, which highlighted the 22-year-old’s rare talent for turning her messiest and most secret feelings into arena-sized anthems.
“Everything Anything” only affirms all the building excitement around the London-based artist. Co-written by Alessi and produced by Couros, (Dora Jar, Saya Gray) the song opens on warm electric guitar and intimate vocals as our oversharing heroine unfurls the real-life story of a former beau moving onto her street. As song evolves into a breezy, full-band sound, she lets out another infinitely quotable chorus: “Your silence is deafening, I thought you were everything, but you don’t want anything, it’s clear / Guess that’s how the penny drops, you’re mine ’til the day you’re not, a godawful paradox, it’s weird / What’s wrong with you? Oh, we used to have sex, now my calls don’t go through.”
Says Alessi, “‘Everything Anything’ pokes fun at the utter absurdity of having someone who you once were so close and intimate with now becoming a total stranger. It’s vulnerable but also deeply ironic and feels like the stream of consciousness, confessional rant you’d share with a friend at a sleepover.”
Fans were previously treated to the alt-rock-edged bop “That Could Be Me,” a wildly riveting portrait of obsession, and her fiercely confessional Capitol Records debut single “Same Mouth.”
