myah – I Don’t Know What I’m Feeling

Singer songwriter and director myah releases her album, I Don’t Know What I’m Feeling.

Aiming to catch her breath, first track “dissolve” is a deep dive into the pain of loss and heartbreak that builds with an expansive, emo-tinged sonic landscape.
The full project sees myah learn to fall apart only to piece herself back together on a complete, emotional journey of growth and self-discovery.
The album includes the previously released singles “glitter”, “dodging bullets”, “hurricane”, “now or never” and “notice you.”
The punchy long-awaited LP is a confessional, bittersweet reflection on the highs and lows of love and self-discovery. Through 17 tracks, the musician captures falling in and out of love–the butterflies, joy, turbulence, heartache, anger and everything in between–as she comes to terms with love not always being the fairytale it appears to be. Myah shares, “It touches on the crisis you experience as you start to get older and realize that romance and love aren’t what you’ve been told your whole life. It’s toxic and devastating and confusing; it can feel like you’re on top of the world one day and then like your whole world is falling apart the next.”
A cohesive body of work, each song seamlessly flows together to weave a true, heartfelt story of love and loss and navigating through one’s twenties. Myah continues,”Every song is intertwined from start to finish and it’s meant to be listened to in order. It’s designed so that when people finish the album, they’re left wondering where I am now, and the truth is, I don’t know either. Because, well..i don’t know what i’m feeling.”
Out with the full project is the album’s honest pop-grunge opener, “dissolve.” The artist sees it as a quintessentially myah song–a sonic representation of her–filled with equal amounts of emo angst and yearning. Myah explains, “With the first lyric, “uh-oh, I’ve done it again,” it introduces the cycle of vulnerability, blind romanticism, and longing that runs through the project. It’s warm and nostalgic, but emotionally, it’s cathartic and desperate, which is kind of my signature. It’s the perfect intro to what “myah” sounds like.”
LA via South Florida myah isn’t just another indie musician — she’s the producing force behind music videos for major artists, like The Marias — “Un Millon”, “All I Really Want Is You”, song of the summer “Mood” by 24k Goldn, Kehlani’s “Little Story”, Steve Aoki’s Ultimate & “Invitame a Un Cafe”, Tinashe’s “X”, Oliver Tree’s break-up anthem “Cowboys Don’t Cry”, and more. Now, she’s stepping in front of the camera with a voice that’s just as big as the visuals she’s produced, winning a Telly Award in 2025 for her music video, “the lobby”.
Originally from South Florida, myah’s sound is a blend of alternative rock, pop, and pop-punk melodies with midwest emo inspired guitar riffs. Influenced by bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Foxing, and Modest Mouse, her love for alternative music solidified her decision to make music of a similar caliber, while still incorporating those familiar pop beats. Storytelling is a huge part of her music identity, writing lyrics that tap into her own life experiences with hints of nostalgia. Myah’s songwriting meshes soft pop female familiarity with emo angst and vulnerability.
Lyrically, myah knows the spectrum of feelings well (excitement, wonder, love, loss – to name a few) and isn’t shy about sharing them. She avoids pronouns in her lyrics when she can, so anyone and everyone can be the lead character in her songs. She considers herself a cinematic romantic and stylized her name and all her songs as all lowercase to keep things simple.
Outside of the studio, myah loves a good croissant and skating around town.
