Kiki Kramer – Shot In The Dark

Suretone Records artist Kiki Kramer returns with “Shot in the Dark,” a shimmering, self-aware pop confessional out today on all platforms.
A mid-tempo ballad about knowingly becoming someone’s rebound, “Shot in the Dark” balances playful charm and quiet melancholy, turning emotional sacrifice into pop art.
Written and performed with Kiki’s signature wit and vulnerability, the song finds her narrating heartbreak with a shrug and a smirk – “Nothing lasts forever / Let’s give it a shot in the dark.”
The official video, directed by Marc Klasfeld – known for his work with Olivia Rodrigo, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Charlie XCX and Red Hot Chili Peppers – brings Kiki’s world vividly to life, capturing her neon-glow mix of irony, intimacy, and chaos in the after-hours haze of New York nightlife.
Building a grassroots fanbase from scratch, Kiki sold out her first NYC and LA club shows, rising from zero to 45,000 TikTok followers in just a few months. With “Shot in the Dark,” she expands her sonic palette, bridging hyper-pop energy with indie intimacy, channeling influences from Lana Del Rey and Chappell Roan to Marina and the Diamonds, Melanie Martinez, and No Doubt.
Originally from Northern California and raised on equal parts astrology, heartbreak, and New York nightlife, Kiki began writing songs as a kid and later studied drama at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. After her mother’s passing, she immersed herself in the city’s underground club scene – first as a promoter and host, then as a performer – turning grief into glitter and heartbreak into hooks. Her performances caught the attention of Jordan Schur, former President of Geffen/MCA Records Group, who signed her to Suretone Records and now manages her career.
With new singles planned through 2026 and a debut LP due next summer, Kiki Kramer is redefining what it means to be “in love and online.” Her world is raw, funny, self-aware – and deeply human.
