Lonely Little Kitsch – Puncture Wounds

Lonely Little Kitsch2

Canadian band Lonely Little Kitsch releases their new single and video “Puncture Wounds.”

“It’s a song about dissociating, and wanting to feel numb,” says Kristen. “When something is too painful or your emotions are overwhelming, you’d rather just shut down and feel nothing at all.”

With hooky riffs setting the tone, “Puncture Wounds” is fast-paced yet introspective; moody yet full of energy. It’s an urgent, infectious alt-rock track with a shout-along chorus, proving that songs about painful feelings can still be catchy.

“It started out as an early 2000s emo-style song (almost comically so) that Nolan and I randomly wrote at 1am one night,” Kristen continues. “But over time it evolved into something with a bit more punch, and a slightly frenetic feel. More our style.”

Lonely Little Kitsch is an alt-rock band from Niagara, Canada formed by Kristen Goetz and Nolan Jodes as a project without boundaries or expectations. As lifelong music fans and self-described “music nerds,” they wanted to create their own brand of alternative music that wasn’t defined by current trends or labels. The result is 100% unabashed, authentic LLK – no trying to fit into a specific genre or sound.

The band is currently finishing their first album, due for release early next year.

Aside from Lonely Little Kitsch, Kris and Nolan run the music site From the Strait, as well as music PR and marketing through FTS PR. They also run their own indie record label, Swear Word Records.
