Morgan Nagler – Orange Wine

Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Morgan Nagler, best known for her bands Whispertown and Supermoon, releases the second single under her own name, “Orange Wine.”
Nagler sings: “Where the hills are alive / Podcasters on legal speed / Acting natural on home grown weed / Composting organic ego feed / Talking the fabric of time / Drinking orange wine.” She comments, “Orange Wine is about living in Los Angeles in the modern age. It’s a caricature of itself and of myself. It’s a love and hate relationship. I’m not interested unless it’s heartbreaking – but heartbreakingly beautiful is the ultimate yin yang.”
“Orange Wine” was produced by Kyle Thomas (aka King Tuff), who also co-wrote with Nagler, mixed by Alex Farrar (MJ Lenderman, Snail Mail) and features a stellar backing band including Thomas on guitar, backing vocals from Allison Crutchfield and Bethany Cosentino, Gabe Noel (Kamasi Washington, Kendrick Lamar) on bass, and Josh Adams (Cat Power, Weyes Blood) on drums. The song’s accompanying video was directed by Christian Stavros and edited by David Checel.
