Gracey – Gimmicks

Gracey by Tony Tacheny

GRACEY. She’s the BRIT-nominated star-in-ascent. The architect of irresistible pop hooks that get under your skin and scale the charts to the UK Top 10, amassing more than 140 million streams. Expansive, rough, euphoric and lacerating – these are the forces at play in her vibrant and altogether singular sound. Today, GRACEY unveils the latest release in her creative reinvention: ‘Gimmicks’.

‘Gimmicks’ is a synth-drenched ode to love, and the accompanying music video directed by Tony Tacheny showcases GRACEY’s cinematic, dreamlike world. Speaking on the track, GRACEY shares: “Gimmicks is about the kind of love that doesn’t need dressing up – no tricks, no noise, just what I believe to be a real and raw connection. It lives in soft silences and city lights, where being present with each other is all that matters. Like Delirium, I wanted the production to be both shimmery and cinematic, to mirror the lyrics’ emotion – intimacy and euphoria in the same breath.”

‘Gimmicks’ arrives as the latest preview of GRACEY’s forthcoming EP, Ladybug, out July 10th via Glassnote Records.

Ladybug

A bold and unfiltered snapshot of a transformative chapter in her life, Ladybug captures the emotional extremes of vulnerability, hope, and healing. Across the project, GRACEY explores the push and pull of love and the thrill of self-reclamation, all wrapped in the slick, addictive pop production she’s become known for.

Of the upcoming EP, GRACEY shares, “THE LADYBUG EP !!! you do NOT understand how excited i am to share it with you both the title and lyrical themes of this EP were inspired by ‘the yellow car theory’ – the idea that when you start actively looking for something, you start seeing it everywhere. For me, ladybugs became a quiet emblem of hope and self-trust – little red signs that always seemed to show up when I needed them most, as if to say what you’re looking for might already be right in front of you. This EP to me is both a search and a guide: if you’re looking for love, meaning, or clarity, I hope LADYBUG can help you to start spotting it.”

The Ladybug EP follows singles ‘Back to Then’, ‘Rhetorical Questions’, and ‘Delirium’, continuing her streak of sonically daring, emotionally sharp releases. Produced and written in collaboration with Michel “Lindgren” Schulz (Dua Lipa, BTS, Halsey, and Sia), ‘Gimmicks’ cements GRACEY as a defining voice in the new era of emotionally intelligent pop.
