In 2025, FATAI marks another milestone in a career that has been full of them – the release of her long-awaited debut album: W.O.M.A.N.
Released on December 5, the album is a collection of music that redefines FATAI’s artistry for this new chapter ahead; embracing vibrancy, confidence, love and discovering one’s own inner strength.
Featuring tracks including ‘Joys Of Love’, ‘Beautiful Mind’, ‘Be Still’ and ‘I Got Love’, W.O.M.A.N is a fresh presentation of the values that have been with FATAI since the beginning of her journey. Moments of uplifting reflection, heartfelt observations on growth, relationships and finding ourselves along the way, FATAI re-establishes herself as one of Australia’s compelling storytellers with this project.
As she describes W.O.M.A.N, “Wonderfully Original, Made and Named. Why spend your life seeking false validation, comparing yourself to others and pretending to be someone that you’re not, when being authentically you is the ultimate life of freedom!”
Creating this album in Australia with good friend and collaborator Phil Turcio, FATAI navigated a spectrum of emotions as these songs came together. Songwriting being such a raw and intimate creative medium at the best of times, FATAI engaged with an organic and rich album making process, with Turcio and other talented musicians and writers, including Gary Pinto, along for the ride.
“We [Phil and I] dedicated every Wednesday to meeting and writing together. Without ever planning to write an album and simply coming back to our first love of creating because we are creators, we organically ended up with a collection of songs as you hear it in this album, feeling proud and full of purpose by the end of it. The announcement of W.O.M.A.N coincides with FATAI’s return to North America, taking in a six-date tour throughout January, supported by Nyla XO.
